Reagan - 9 months

So...I haven't done so well with the 52-week challenge thus far.  I HAVE taken at least a picture a week (likely more), but I haven't posted as often as I should.  Part of the reason was because I was without a computer for a few days, but now that it's repaired and I've had the chance to upload some recent pics, here is my post!  My little girl hit the 9-month milestone this past week.  She was the perfect little model for my impromptu photo shoot.  Her big brother Owen got in on the action too, but lost interest fairly quickly.  Luckily I was able to capture one decent shot of him!

Happy New Year!  I'm convinced that 2011 is going to be a great year!  Personally, I have several goals that I hope to accomplish this year...one of those being, starting a photography business.  I know that I have a lot of work ahead of me, but the thought of being able to do something that I love brings me sheer joy!  I admit, creating a business from scratch and doing it alone is daunting to say the least, but I am also very excited about the adventures and possibilities that this new endeavour may bring!  I have been a photo-enthusiast for as long as I can remember, and I constantly try to learn new things and take better pictures...so with this New Year brings a new challenge:  the 52-week Photo Challenge.  My goal is to take (and post!) at least one picture each week for the next year.  In doing so, I hope to strengthen my skills, photograph things that I normally wouldn't, and because this challenge involves photography, I know that I will enjoy doing it!  A lot of other photographers are doing the same thing, and I think it is a great way to get inspired by others' work, and perhaps even inspire others along the way!


So, with that being said, here is my first post for the New Year -- my beautiful daughter Reagan.  My new 50mm lens arrived in the mail, and she was all too happy to model for me while I tried it out!
