Girls just want to have FuN! {Guelph Photographer}

Less than a month to go until my baby girl turns one!  Where does the time go?!  I had a mini photo shoot with her today in an effort to get a nice shot for her first birthday (photo) invitation.  This is the one that I decided on...simple, yet beautiful (in my humble opinion!)

Think Spring!  Although it still looks like winter outside due to the nasty trick that Mother Nature pulled this past week, Spring IS just around the corner!   I have a few different outdoor locations in mind that I am eager to try out, but I have just been waiting for the milder temperatures and for some lovely greenery to appear to create a natural and beautiful backdrop!  I have also waiting for the right opportunity...I need some “models” that would be willing to accompany me to one of my location choices and allow me to photograph them.   This is where the fun part comes in!  I am putting out a casting call in the form of a contest/giveaway.  If what I have mentioned above is of interest to you, then enter to win! 

Up for grabs is one free portrait session at an outdoor location of my choice.  In addition to the free session, the winner will also receive a complimentary 8x10, and 3 5x7s...a value of $100!  Session can accomodate child, family, couples or maternity portraiture.

There are 3 ways to enter.  You can complete one, two or all three steps for your chance to win:

1)     “Like” Defining Moments Photography on Facebook.  Come back and leave a comment on the blog letting me know that you completed the first step (If you are already a fan, just let me know that in your comment).

Gift Certificates now available!

So much for Spring!  I definitely wasn't expecting to see all of this snow when I woke up this morning, and it just keeps on coming down!   Fingers crossed it melts quickly and doesn't return until next winter!

Spring has sprung!

Today is officially the first day of spring!  I have been enjoying the milder temperatures and the sunny weather that we have been having this past week.  Although my garden isn't blooming quite yet, my orchids are brightening up my living room, and have been blooming all winter long.  Here is a picture of a single bloom, edited with a bit of texture to it.  Although I love my orchids, I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my tulips and daffodils in my front garden...shouldn't be too much longer now!

Baby Ashton

This couple welcomed their handsome baby boy into the world on Family Day!  I have known Amy since she was a tot herself, and now she is a beautiful mom!  I was excited to have the opportunity to photograph baby Ashton at 12 days old.  Ashton's Daddy had some "props" he wanted incorporated into the session, and I was more than willing to make it work.  I hope he's pleased with how the shots came out.  Thanks so much Amy & Chase for welcoming me into your home, and allowing me to photograph your new little family!

The Mock Family

I had the priviledge of photographing a good friend of mine and her family today.  Andrea is expecting Baby #2 next month, and I was so happy to be able to capture a few shots for her during this special time.  Pregnancy seems to agree with her - she is absolutely stunning!  Here a few sneak peeks!
